Looking Back On What I Accomplished This Far

Looking Back On What I Accomplished This Far

Up till now I can’t say that 2010 has been a bad year. To be more precise, it’s actually a pretty good month. I’m not doing everything that I had put in my plan, but I’m doing most and what I do is making me a profit. Guess that counts for something, right? Let’s see how things are going this year for every aspect of my business.

1. Site flipping. I had planned to get two sites ready every month to sell. I haven’t really gotten to two sites a month, but I did built a few and all of them sold and with a nice profit too. Yesterday I sold one for $150 and the next one is almost ready. I even have someone interested in that one before it’s even ready. Everything is ready for that blog, only waiting for the content, which should be today. When I have that I’ll be finishing the site and let the interested party know. If she’s not buying it, it’ll go to my list and 48 hours later (if it hasn’t sold at that point), it’ll go on flippa. I have sites selling before they go on flippa, just because I took the time to build a list for this part of my business. Can’t complain about that.

2. PLR packages. It was a good idea, still is actually, but I’m not doing anything with it. I have a package ready, but haven’t put it for sale yet. I have in my head that I want a squeezepage for it, so people can easily put up their opt in form to build their list, but I just don’t seem to get to that point. Maybe if I have time next month.

3a. Nicheblogs passive income. Or better known as, my own sites. These are going well too. I just wished I had more time for those. The site I wanted to finish in March, only just got finished this month. I put the site for this month on hold, it was a new site, so I’ll be doing that later on if I have more time. Income in increasing, from adsense as well as chitika. Even affiliate sales are picking up. I’m sure I’ll be reaching my goal for this by the end of the year.

3b. Nicheblogs active income. Or, my client work. This month has been my best month ever for that. I made more then $700. And I’m talking about after expenses for these jobs. Can’t complain here either. Next month my blog set up prices are going up. I hope I’ll be able to keep most of my clients at that point.

4. Xfactor sites. I haven’t build one every month as I had planned too. I only have two at this time, and only one of those is making me money. The other one just isn’t doing what it should. Thinking of removing that site and not renewing the domainname. It’s not that great of niche either. I’ll try to pick up work on this next month.

5. Ebooks. I only have one ebook: WordPress Set Up. I am creating videos for it, as some people love to see videos on certain aspects. Price will go up afterwards too. Thinking of giving people an upsell for WordPress coaching after they bought the ebook. A way of asking questions, which can be very helpful for newbies.

All in all, I’m not doing that bad. I mean, I even could afford a VA for my business. She works parttime for me (20 hours a week) and I have her build backlinks. I use Angela’s backlink packages as well as Paul’s packages for this. Also blog commenting, twitter updates and social bookmarking are things I have her do. It are little jobs that I can easily do myself, but they just take too much of my time. With paying her for this, I free up a lot of time.

Hi Leslie – good to see that you’re making progress against your goals. I’ve made a bit of pocket money from CPA Lead this month so hopefully you’ll get your cut too ;)

      Hi Clare,

I noticed that you did. I check cpalead rather often and I can see which referral made me some money ;) You’re one of them. Hope you can build up a nice little extra income from there.

Hey Leslie, it seems like you have a great idea in your head of where you want to get to and it seems you suffer the same problem that I have: TIME

If only there were more hours in the day, we’d both get so much further along our own journeys a hell of a lot quicker.

But it’s good to see you have a VA working for you now, I also have others build backlinks, write content and even setup new sites for me just to take the most time consuming tasks off of my hands to allow me to concentrate on the rest of my work.

I hope you meet all your goals for the coming months.

      Hi Steve,

Time is really the issue here, if I had more of it I would have been much further with my plans. That’s the only downside of combining your own business with a family. But I wouldn’t want it any other way.

    Hi Leslie,
the Angela’s backlink service you mentioned sounds interesting (I Googled up the site). How have you found the quality of the backlinks they supply?

If you mean quality as in PR, then i have to say that the quality is good. She also gives a nice step by step explanation on where to place the links. I have to say, though, that I now only have Paul’s plan. With Angela’s new security measures, I wouldn’t be able to send the pdf’s to my va, or if I did I wouldn’t be able to open them myself. I couldn’t live with that, so I just stopped the subscription for her package and am only using Paul’s now. Of course, I can still use the older Angela packages.

    Hi Leslie,
thanks for the info. I did a bit more digging, and it looks like the first site I found was a service that built the links for you using the “Angela’s list”, I think I have the link to the original service now. Much less costly, but you build the links yourself. Is that about correct?

Yes, you will only get a few zip-folders with the pdf-file. Like I said, the files are highly secured, which is a good thing, but if you’re used to working on different computers, or if you have a va or something like that, you will only be able to open the files on the first computer you open them on. Paul’s backlinks cost $8, but you have 50 sites instead of 30.
